Mercury 13 Pro is a touchscreen tablet magnifier and text-to-speech scanner, powered by a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet. For people with Low Vision, Mercury functions as both a high definition desktop magnifier, and as an accessible Windows "laptop" with screen magnification software.
For reading and viewing objects and text at a distance - for example in a seminar, or a classroom - there is the Mercury Distance Camera, which can zoom 5x with crystal-clear clarity and image stability. The user can flip between Distance Camera, and document camera, or combine the two simultaneously using the Split-Screen.
An optional extra screen (Dual Monitor) expands the viewing area when used with Split-Screen and the Distance Camera. For example, a student can zoom the Distance Camera with the second monitor for the Whiteboard, whilst writing notes in her coursebook shown on the main Mercury screen. Or, at a public talk, you could zoom in on the Powerpoint presentation whilst reading a handout.
