OrCam Read-the latest innovation from OrCam
Do you have students for whom reading is a frustrating experience or that tire when reading large amounts of text? For many, the use of text to speech technology can help to level the playing field in terms of accessing print.
While there is a myriad of options for turning text into speech, few are as truly portable as this latest solution from the innovators at OrCam.
Designed for people of all ages with reading difficulties, the newly released OrCam Read is a handheld device, similar in size to a highlighter pen and can capture and read aloud a full page at a time. Listen to the text being read either via the mini speaker on the device or using headphones (wired or Bluetooth).
It does not require an internet connection so can be used anywhere and charges using a USB-C charger.
It has been designed for those with reading difficulties stemming from mild to moderate vision impairment, reading fatigue, dyslexia, aphasia and those who consume large amounts of text. The device is intuitively operated, with the press of a button.
Navigate the text, back and forward by punctuation mark; includes adjustable reading speed and volume.
OrCam Read is in stock and available now. Please contact us for a demonstration.
