What’s New in 2026

• AI Labeler: Automatically identifies and announces about 90% of unlabelled elements for faster, uninterrupted navigation. Press Jaws key+G when on an unlabelled item to get the item announced.
• AI Page Explorer: Get a summary of a webpage, navigation tips and important links using this new tool. Just press Jaws key+ Shift+ E when in a web page or application. You can then ask questions about the web page to save time in navigating.
• Multi-line Braille Support: View more information at once and complete tasks efficiently on modern Braille displays.

How do I get version 2026?

If you have "Check for updates" turned on in your software you should receive an alert when you open your software and you can select to install it.

If you haven't got a current license you will get a warning that you need to upgrade your license to purchase an upgrade,

Otherwise you can visit the help menu in your software using Alt+H and navigate to "Check for Updates" or you can visit https://support.freedomscientific.com/downloads to download the new version. You don't need to uninstall the older version
