Important update about changes to JAWS Fusion and Zoomtext software licensing

Freedom Scientific has instituted a number of changes to the way software (JAWS, Fusion and Zoomtext) is sold and maintained. 

From 5th July 2025, you can only buy a license with a Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA), which starts from the date of purchase, and needs renewal every 2 years for ongoing support.

Deadline extended: From 20 October 2025, you will no longer be able to upgrade old version software (e.g. 2024 or older). You must either:

  • Purchase a new license, with SMA, or
  • Purchase a Subscription
