Warranty and Returns

Warranty

1.The following products are covered by a warranty period of 12 months from date of purchase:

• Optical Magnifiers
• All keyboards
• All Mercury and Magnilink TAB tablets
• BlindShell Beep
• Batteries within our portable devices

2. All other products are covered by a warranty period of 2 years from date of purchase
• Note: globes for Daylight lamps are not covered by warranty.

You are entitled to rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a product replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Except as provided for in the Australian Consumer Law, all express and implied warranties, representations, guarantees and conditions under law as to merchantability, description, quality, suitability or fitness of the goods or services for any purpose, or as to design, materials, workmanship or otherwise are expressly excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Products may contain warranty documents on or inside the packaging provided by the manufacturer or distributor of the product, any such warranty is not given by Quantum RLV.

 

Warranty conditions

1. This warranty does not cover accidental damage, malfunction or a failure of operation resulting from use on incorrect voltages, alteration, and misuse or tampering by unauthorised persons or by incorrect connection to other equipment.

2. We accept no liability for consequential damage/s to other equipment. Our liability is limited to repair or replacement at the discretion of Quantum RLV or the manufacturer of the equipment.

3. This warranty applies to all owners of the device. In the instance it is on-sold, then this policy covers the device for its warranty period from the date of the original purchase.

4. Rechargeable batteries have a 12-month limited warranty. There is no warranty on the batteries supplied with the optical magnifiers.

5. Software Products are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty.

 

What to do in the event of product failure under Warranty

1. Call us on 1300 883 853 or email info@quantumrlv.com.au

2. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number which you will need to record clearly on the outside of the return package e.g., RMA 07.938.788 plus return delivery details.

3. Send the product to us via a trackable delivery service, preferably in original box if available, please include chargers/ power cords etc and ensure the product is well padded and a snug fit to eliminate movement of the product during transit.


What we will do when you contact us in the event of product failure under Warranty, we will:

1.Log your call and our staff will provide you with our RMA reference number, as above, and

2. Confirm to you via phone or email when we receive the product from you.

3. Keep you informed of progress via phone or email once the product has undergone inspection, testing and assessment for the reported fault and provide our current estimated period for repair or replacement.

4. Decide to repair or replace the product if it is verified as faulty, in consultation with the manufacturer.

Out of Warranty – Service or Repair

1. Call us on 1300 883 853 or email info@quantumrlv.com.au

2. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number and delivery information, which you will need to record clearly on the outside of the returning package e.g., RMA 07.938.788.

3. Send the product to us at your expense via a trackable delivery service, preferably in original box if available, please include chargers/ power cords etc and ensure the product is well padded and a snug fit to eliminate movement of the product during transit.

4. Once the product has been assessed we will provide you further information on required repairs, our quotation for costs and an estimated timeframe to complete the repair and/or obtaining parts to be used.

5. For service/repairs out of warranty, a fee is payable for the equipment assessment and preparation of our service/repair quotation. If the repair does not proceed and equipment is to be returned unrepaired, the fee and return delivery costs will be charged. If the service/repair does proceed the assessment fee will be waived.

6. Warranty of 3-months on labour and replacement parts applies to all completed Service and Repair orders.

Change of Mind Policy

Quantum RLV is committed to customer satisfaction. In supporting our customers and clients with confidence that they have made the right purchase decision, Quantum has implemented a Change of Mind policy for purchases made on-line, over the phone or instore.

If you change your mind about the product/s you have purchased from Quantum RLV, either online, over the phone or in-store, we will refund the purchase price less our 10% restocking fee, or exchange the products, subject to the following conditions:

• Most products purchased from Quantum can be returned within 30 days of the date of invoice/ fulfilment with proof of purchase.

• Optical magnifiers and lighting/lamp equipment can be returned within 14 days of item fulfilment with proof of purchase, and

• Before any claim is made you must contact us on 1300 883 853 to inform us of your intention to return goods within the 30-day period (or within14-days for optical magnifiers/lighting/lamp equipment).

• The product/s are returned undamaged and in saleable condition, unused with all original packaging and any tags attached, and all accessories provided with the item must also be returned; and

• Return the product to us at your expense via trackable delivery service and securely packaged to prevent damage in-transit. Please note the original delivery costs are non-refundable.

Our team members will assess the returned item to determine eligibility for a refund in accordance with our Change of Mind Policy conditions.

Proof of Purchase

Proof of purchase requires a valid receipt. A valid receipt is either the original Tax Invoice issued with the product or the Order Confirmation Email.

 

*** Exclusions and non-returnable items ***

Other than any remedies under Australian Consumer Law or other relevant legislation, goods which are used in a way or environment that would create OH&S and hygiene risks may not be returned. This includes any goods that may have been soiled or exposed to biological contamination. This also includes but is not limited to items in the following categories:

  • Computer Software and apps
  • Wearables Devices, electronic and optical.
  • Products are either marked as sale, clearance or reduced to clear.
  • Goods purchased and paid for using NDIS, MAC (My Aged Care) (HCP (Home Care Package), DVA and any other government funding body as per their policies.
