Presenter: Trevor Boyd

Please also contact us to organise a webinar for your team on a subject of your choosing. We can also tailor sessions at a time of your choosing and can develop highly customised training opportunities to meet your particular needs.

In 2013, Quantum staff have delivered talks and given presentations on 54 separate occasions; more than one a week! We talk to a wide range of groups and organisations on a variety of subjects. The majority of these sessions are educational and not product focussed. If you have a group that would benefit from a general talk around the use of technology to assist people with print disabilities, please give us a call.

The need for on-going professional development to keep teachers current is often not matched by a PD and training budget! Therefore Quantum provides these talks and presentations at no charge.

One on One

Jaws and Braille Training. In person or on-line.

With so many options now for on-line training (we are using Skype, Go-to-Meeting, Talking Communities), there are plenty of opportunities to provide localised and detailed instructional training. These on-line trainings can be suitable for students while they work on their own devices, and they can be scheduled for any time of day at school or at home. One-on-one training can also be suitable for small groups (ideally 2-3 people).

Quantum runs technology workshops on assistive technology solutions for participants from primary, secondary and tertiary education, rehabilitation and employment settings. Workshops are available for all products at our offices or at external training facilities, depending on your preference.

And for our final word on training, here are a few good ones from Mark Twain;

“Training is everything. The peach was once a bitter almond; cauliflower is nothing but cabbage with a college education.”
