Mark Bettiens

Mark has also joined us as a Low Vision Consultant. He trained with the Australian Defence Forces and qualified as a medical technician.

After leaving the ADF Mark applied those skills to the field of Aged Care in which he had various roles. During this time he came into contact with many seniors who were living with vision loss and understood what a major impact it can have on their quality of life.

Mark also has a large territory, from Coffs Harbour in the south to the Gold Coast in the north and as far west as Moree.

The Quantum Difference

Quantum supports people with Low Vision in many ways.

Home Visits

By far the most common way we interact with people is in their own homes.  Our Low Vision Consultants can talk to you about your needs and preferences over the phone, and bring a range of devices that might suit you to your home. There is no obligation and no cost, and many items can be left at home on trial.

RoadShows

We hold many events in regional areas to try and reach people that may not have access to all the facilities of major metropolitan areas. These are often held in conjunction with other organisations to help maximise the value to clients in regional Australia.

Education

All 10 of our Low Vision Consultants are trained to give educational seminars and talks to community groups, allied health professionals, and aged care facilities. We get fantastic feedback from people who have attended and learnt about the various eye conditions that lead to Low Vision and the vision aids that can be useful for them.
