JAWS Scholarship

All vision impaired Australians within education or employment are eligible to apply for the JAWS Scholarship. The prize is a copy JAWS® for Windows®  Professional. JAWS® for Windows® is a screen reading software that grabs information from the computer screen and send it out in synthesized speech feedback. Documents, emails and the internet can all be spoken back to vision impaired users. JAWS software is also compatible with the PacMate products, enabling those who like to use their computers in conjunction with their Braille Displays and Note Takers.

The world's first screen reader, JAWS® for Windows® works with your PC to provide access to today's software applications and the internet for blind and low vision users. JAWS software provides unparalleled internet support. Support includes links lists, frames lists, forms, reading and navigating HTML tables, navigation quick keys for HTML and PDF documents, PlaceMarkers, Custom Page Summary, Custom Labels for Web page elements, and more.
