Freedom Scientific's SARA CE (Scanning And Reading Appliance, Camera Edition) is a self-contained scanning and reading appliance for the blind and those with Low Vision. This new edition of the SARA features a camera for faster scanning.

The SARA CE is simple to use. Just place a page under the camera and the SARA CE instantly starts reading it to you with RealSpeak human-sounding speech. The SARA CE also features an automatic sensor that detects when a new page is presented.

Packed with features.

The SARA CE features easy-to-use, colour-coded tactile keys that provide access to a wealth of additional features. You can pause reading, move forward and backward, or hear a word spelled out. You can also change the reading speed and volume. The SARA CE features a number of different English voices, as well as 18 languages.

The SARA CE enables users to save scanned documents and books on the in-built hard drive or USB thumb drive.

The SARA CE also features an in-built library consisting of 222 classic novels.

The SARA CE features an audible menu as well as built-in Help and audible onboard user manual.
