Learning Disability Software

It is estimated that between 3 and 10 percent of the population is living with a specific learning disability, the most common being dyslexia (difficulty in reading, spelling and written language). Quantum offers a innovative range of education software which assists users of all ages to have greater understanding of text by using a bi-modal approach - simultaneous highlighting of text as it is spoken.

Cognitive/Learning Disability
Software programs designed to aid individuals with cognitive disabilities such as dyslexia are available. The programs provide a bi-modal access (visual and auditory enhancement) to any type of electronic information including scanned, web, Word docs, PDF's and others. These programs can speak out text whilst simultaneously highlighting the spoken word.

Alternative Format Production
A traditional talking book is an analog representation of a print publication. A Digital Talking Book (DTB) is a multimedia representation of a print publication. In both instances the rendering of the audio is in human voice. There are many products that can be used for reading and creating DTB's, for both individuals and professional producers of alternative format materials.
